SENIOR CITIZEN CONCERTS IN WASHINGTON HEIGHTS

- CONCERTS IN THE HEIGHTS

The National Orchestral Association recently donated a grand piano for concerts in Washington Heights, New York. In addition, the Association is proud to be one of the underwriters of a series of matinee concerts that are geared toward attracting senior citizens in upper Manhattan who would otherwise be unable to attend classical music concerts normally held in the evenings. Concerts in the Heights will be scheduling both evening and matinee performances to attract the widest audience.  National Orchestral Association Chairman Frances Kennedy noted that "these concerts, particularly those held in the afternoon, are a wonderful resource for seniors in upper Manhattan, and the Association is so pleased to be working with this outstanding group of musicians."  Participating in these wonderful programs has been an inspiration to all of us associated with the National Orchestral Association, and has provided an outstanding opportunity to enrich the cultural life of New York's senior citizen population.

Concerts in the Heights presents monthly chamber music concerts in a charming intimate setting, the Fellowship Hall of the Fort Washington Collegiate Church on the corner of 181st Street and Fort Washington Avenue.

In addition to core members hornist Karl Kramer, violinist Monica Bauchwitz, clarinetist Vadim Lando and pianist Pippa Borisy; the concerts boast an impressive artist roster featuring both local musicians from New York City's brightest chamber orchestras, and distinguished names from the international music world.
